As we age, we start noticing problems of the eyes – blurred vision, vision loss, and at times, particles drifting across the eyes. While blurred vision and vision loss are observed by all, drifting particles may be a cause of confusion for those affected by it. One may confuse these particles as being some particles within the eyes, which they may try to rub off; while others may think that they are particles drifting around in the outside environment around. However, both these situations are not correct. Known as eye floaters, this situation is caused due to some fragments being broken within the eyes and floating around, thus the name.
